I need to work on this thing called sleep. Averaging 3hrs a night all week is not working for me, especially since it isn’t caused by staying up reading or writing.
Writing Mayhem
This week I’ve edited and uploaded the next episodes for Dioltas and Cyra on Radish and after finishing another chapter in Cyra.
Words on page didn’t happen except for two new story ideas, which I quickly penned down. But the Muse needs to knuckle down and focus on the books we must finish first.
Other Mischief
With A Romantic Rendezvous quickly approaching, I’m starting to make plans for what I’m taking to the signing with me. I will only be taking a limited copy of books with me, so if you are coming and hoping to get copies of specific books, ensure you use the preorder form to reserve your copy.
BUY TICKETS
I’m still waiting on Wraith to come back from the editor. At this stage, I think it will be unlikely I’ll have any early copies at the ARR event as it would be a tight turnaround to get the formatting done and to the printers on short notice. Totally my fault. I was three weeks late getting it to her. But I will have hard copies for BABE 2023, and will add it to my preorder sheet as soon as I have the printer engaged.
The cover reveals for Wraith go out to newsletter subscribers on Sunday and will go live on my social media mid-next week.
I feel like I’ve done a year’s worth of socialising this last week, so on top of several road trips and venturing out for other commitments, I found some time to myself to enjoy a visit to my fav sweets cafe while I was editing the latest chapter of Cyra. I picked up some goodies for the family while I was there.
Reading Mayhem
On the weekend, I took a road trip to check out the Grand Opening of Books Ever After in Bowral. It’s NSW’s first dedicated romance bookstore. I picked up some books from new to me Authors. It’s a cute little store, and bonus that after buying some books, I got to have lunch in Bowral, which is always a lovely event. As soon as I got home, I started reading.
What plans for this weekend? Apparently, it’s the week for socialising, so I’m out with the girls tomorrow for some drinks and bitching about the hell that is our day jobs, followed by another busy week of back-to-back commitments.
